Others with Hypnic Headaches

I just found this website and read a blog by an "administrator" about hypnic headaches. The summary was very well written and I wanted to respond to it but could not figure out how to "reply" or respond. As a person diagnosed with hypnic headaches last year (and also hormonoal migraines for decades) it is so true as the blogger stated that the two are so very different and respond to different medications.

Can anyone tell me how to respond to another blogger on this website? Thank you for any assistance.

Hello--it is three and half years later, and I am hoping that others will post to this blog. I am still having hypnic headaches (under the care of a neurologist) but would very much appreciate hearing from others with this rare condition, and treatments that have helped.

dear silent witness..i have just discovered this title of "hypnic" headaches. I've been woken up with these pounding headaches for almost 10 years about 1/2 the mornings of each month.
I am 61 years old/female. About 3 years ago I pursued many months and kinds of testing. No diagnosis was arrived at. Perhaps they didn't know? I awake with a pounder at the top of my head about 5am-sih? ,take 3 aspirin...go lay down...an hour later I make a strong cup of coffee and it is gone. Nothing else works. The headaches seem to be more frequent ; maybe 20 nights? Altho sometimes I have a "light" month..I appreciate the opportunity to share this and hope you write back to me.
sincerely,
Iris
